Large Bolted Steel Silo--Sron Silo Engineering

Introduction

Large bolted steel silo is a new product developed independently by SRON to adapt to transportation and construction challenges of overseas projects. After undergoing modular production, processing, and molding, components of the steel silo are transported to the construction site, assembled, and connected by bolts, facilitating quick construction and commissioning.

The maximum diameter of a bolted steel silo can reach 45m, and its storage capacity can reach 50,000 m³. This technology meets market demands and overcomes limitations such as insufficient overseas construction personnel, difficulties in exporting goods, and inconvenient project initiation due to various factors. Thanks to its advanced, safe, and reliable technology, it has obtained several national invention patents and possesses a promising market application outlook.

Utilizing ANSYS, Staad, and other structural calculation software for analog simulation and design optimization. This includes separate calculation of the internal force effect on bolt joints and envelope values, as well as verification of derived calculations using ANSYS, Staad, and other structural calculation software. The optimal combination is determined based on calculation results to ensure structural safety.

Remark:	1. Truss structure roof will be adopt when the silo diameter larger that 35meters; 2. The density applicate for process design is 1.3t/m3. For structure design,applicate 1.6t/m3. 3.
